Philosophy (for Grades 9, 10, 11, and 12)
Philosophy (for Grades 9, 10, 11, and 12)
Fall Philosophy Seminar
During these unprecedented times, philosophy has never been more relevant. What can we learn from great philosophers and thinkers to help us navigate our present thoughts and feelings?
This discussion-based class offers high school students a chance to share insights and formulate serious thoughts related, but not limited to, the radical transformations all our lives have undergone in the wake of Covid-19. As part of this seminar, students will read selections from classical and modern philosophy and debate core questions using critical thinking skills. This critical discourse will culminate in a short written treatise, an original response to a work of classical philosophy. The Fall Philosophy Seminar aims to personally inspire and intellectually challenge.
