HS ADMISSIONS ESSAY WORKSHOP
Our signature workshop for incoming 8th graders is spread over three Tuesdays and focuses on the development and execution of ideas for high impact admissions essays with an eye towards independent high school admissions, screened portfolios, and the Bard High School assessment.
COLLEGE ESSAY CLINIC
Our four part College Essay Clinic is a resource for students embarking on the first draft of their Common Application essay. Through peer interviews, structured writing activities, and expert storytelling instruction, students craft personal essays that establish the human connection with admissions officers.
SPRING SAT CLINIC
Our fall SAT clinic is designed for students exploring spring tests. Through discussion, drills, and activities, students will build an exceptional foundation for effective test-taking. The class will culminate in a proctored SAT.
SPRING ACT CLINIC
Our fall ACT clinic is for students targeting spring exams. Through instruction, discussion, and skills exercises, students will build a robust toolset for effective ACT test-taking. The class will culminate in a proctored, full-length ACT.
LATE SPRING SAT SPRINGBOARD
This six-week course serves an introduction for 10th and 11th graders who plan to take the SAT over the summer or in the fall.
SHSAT INTENSIVES
Each SHSAT Intensive is a deep-dive into a different topic area, and each class involves both discussion and in-class problem solving. This advanced program provides perfect supplemental support for the final sprint to the SHSAT.
FALL SAT CLINIC
Our fall SAT clinic is designed for students taking November and December tests. Through discussion, drills, and activities, students will build an exceptional foundation for effective test-taking. The class culminates in a proctored SAT.
LATE FALL ACT CLINIC
Our late fall ACT clinic is designed for students taking February and April tests. Through discussion, drills, and activities, students will build an exceptional foundation for effective test-taking. The class culminates in a proctored ACT.
LATE FALL SAT CLINIC
Our late fall SAT clinic is designed for students taking March and May tests. Through discussion, drills, and activities, students will build an exceptional foundation for effective test-taking. The class culminates in a proctored SAT.
WINTER SAT CLINIC
Our Winter SAT Clinic is designed for juniors taking the SAT in March through June. Through discussion, drills, and activities, students will build an exceptional foundation for effective SAT test-taking. The class includes 2 full proctored tests.
SHSAT EXTENDED FOUNDATIONS
Our SHSAT clinics are designed to give 7th graders an authentic, content-level understanding of the SHSAT. This course is a deeper, more robust course offering than our highly popular 8-week format.
