2025 SHSAT Updates!

The SHSAT is changing!

Here's a helpful Chalkbeat piece outlining the changes to this year's SHSAT.

Main takeaways:

  • The 2025 SHSAT will be digital only, not computer-adaptive 

  • The computer-adaptive SHSAT will be implemented in 2026

  • The time allotted for a student to take the exam will not change this cycle (3 Hours) 

  • Two full-length practice exams will be released by the end of March

  • The content will remain the same with the addition of a few more question types

  • There will continue to be a grammar/editing section, a reading section and a math section

  • Like the digital SAT, students will be able to take the digital SHSAT on their laptop or tablet and it will be administered in-person 

  • Students with IEP or 504 plans that have testing accommodations which require paper versions will be able to take the test offline
