The SHSAT is changing!
Here's a helpful Chalkbeat piece outlining the changes to this year's SHSAT.
Main takeaways:
The 2025 SHSAT will be digital only, not computer-adaptive
The computer-adaptive SHSAT will be implemented in 2026
The time allotted for a student to take the exam will not change this cycle (3 Hours)
Two full-length practice exams will be released by the end of March
The content will remain the same with the addition of a few more question types
There will continue to be a grammar/editing section, a reading section and a math section
Like the digital SAT, students will be able to take the digital SHSAT on their laptop or tablet and it will be administered in-person
Students with IEP or 504 plans that have testing accommodations which require paper versions will be able to take the test offline
